Govindaland Ashram in Ukraine is providing shelter for refugees, continues to feed those in need, taking care of cows, cultivating peace and love in the heart and all over Ukraine. We need your help!
GOVINDALAND is the Vedic ashram in the center of Ukraine (Vinnitsa region)
Before the war we dreamed of making the world more beautiful, today we want to preserve it.
We held regular worship services, arati and puja ceremonies, received pilgrims from all over Ukraine, India and other countries.
GOVINDALAND is the dream place which inspires people from all over the world
In 2019 the village of Mala Rostivka, located in the heartland of Ukraine, became the place of our international ashram project. Supported by hundreds of people from different countries, the project has hosted festivals for well over 1500 people within the eco-settlement and ashram.
Now, in days of war, we are helping to keep peace in Ukraine: we provide shelter for the refugees, feeding those in need, giving medical and psychological assistance.
We help people survive, preserve peace in mind, and find faith in the future after the war.

Festivals of yoga and Veda culture Vedalife
Every year guests from different countries come to the festival in Ukraine, this is a great international holiday of yoga, creativity, music, cordial communication and treats.
Our festivals are always free, which made it possible to receive thousands of guests
Festival guests always hear about Krishna, Shiva and other Gods, hear kirtan, learn about karma and reincarnation, receive prasadam and inspiration
Vedic planetarium
At all times the authors of sacred texts, starting from Vedavyas (5 thousand years ago) and Sanatana Goswami (16th century AD), describes in their works the cosmology and levels of consciousness
Many scientists and pandits have always dreamed of building a Vedic planetarium. Today, with the help of dome technology, our team of artists create films that reveal different worlds and levels of consciousness. The film “Yogi’s Journey” fully shows the worlds described by the Srimad-Bhagavatam
Mahabharata: gods and heroes
The history of the ancient epic in the format of modern motion-comics, which is drawn by Ukrainian artists
Ancient wisdom in a modern format. The dynamic moving illustrations are not only interesting to the younger generations but also to those without any background in philosophy. This accessibility is what the author, Vedavyas, envisioned while composing this timeless epic
Retreats and pilgrimage tours
We regularly organized tours with interested groups and experienced masters of their crafts; health programs, culinary master classes, healthy lifestyle, yoga, vegetarianism, lectures about indian and vedic culture
Govindaland DURING the war in Ukraine:
Food for Life: distribution of food and products to those in need
Govindaland is the land of Govinda, and here no one should be hungry. So we have a regular distribution of prasadam and products to those in need. For these purposes, we stock up on staple foods and vegetarian food products. Also baking bread, producing flour, agriculture work and food storage technologies are cultivated
Reception of refugees from Ukraine
Chernigiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol and other cities that were destroyed by the war. We also help people to travel to other countries, find friends, housing and work abroad
Volunteers for peace
In these days our tasks are focused towards one aim: to maintain peace in Ukraine. Since the first days of the war, we have been helping to evacuate people from hot spots, accommodate refugees, feed those in need, and provide medical and psychological assistance
Classic ashram program
Since the beginning of the war we have not stopped spiritual programs, arati/puja ceremonies and Prasadam distribution. During the war people have an even greater need for prayers, mantras and answers to questions about life
Goshala cowshed
Traditionally cows in Ukraine are used as cattle for meat. We are building the go-shala that will keep the cows according to Vedic principles. For the cows to be protected and happy because Krishna loves cows. Now we have 2 cows and we plan to adopt more
Psychological and moral help
War is a time of great trials for everyone. Even strong-minded people need healthy moral support. Thanks to experienced masters and mentors from different countries, our team does not give up and supports each other
Educational lectures and regular live broadcasts
Every day, team members share their life, cultural and spiritual experience in live broadcasts, study the culture of yoga and awareness via online sources
